In an email from Cathy's brother David - I stumbled on this website and would like to correct a date shown for my sister. Cathy died during my senior year, on Dec 2, 1972, while hiking with fellow UGA students near Hiawassee, GA. Her and her friends wanted to get out of Athens and enjoy the outdoors on the day of the annual GA vs GT football game. She would have completed her English undergraduate work at UGA in 3 years. She is buried at Westview Cemetery in the Salvation Army plot as our parents were Salvation Army officers. Quite a few other 1970 GHS grads were SA kids. Thanks, Dave Ellis, GHS class of 1973
